Robotic Spring Fling!

On May 2, 2015; the WVU Extension office in Boone County, WV will be hosting LEGO robotics competitions at Madison Middle School. The competition will contain four events for you to choose from: jousting, sumo, line follow racing, and bowling. Teams may choose to participate in one or more events at the competition. Prior to the event, there will be one hour of supported build/programming time for interested teams.

There will be no registration fee for the competitions, but participants are required to register prior to the event.

Who can attend the event?

This event is for kids of all ages who would like to compete using LEGO Mindstorms robots.

What if I haven’t participated in any robotics competitions before?

That’s not a problem!  As long as you have access to a LEGO Mindstorms Robot you can participate.  For anyone who is interested, we will have one hour of supported building and programming time prior to the competition.  This would be an excellent time to pose any of your questions to local Mindstorms aficionados.

Rules Overview:

– Each team must be supervised by an adult coach whose contact information must be provided   in the registration form.

– You must use LEGO Mindstorms Robot.

-It is the responsibility of your team to familiarize yourself with the rules prior to the competition.
