2017-2018 FIRST® Tech Challenge

FTC

REGISTRATION for the 2017-2018 WV FTC State Championship is available here – opens at 12 EDT September 18, 2017.

Join the quest for the 2017-2018 First Tech Challenge Season. This season is Relic Recovery where teams of two form an alliance and compete against another alliance to use glyphs, take jewels, and yes, recover relics.

What is FTC?

FTC is designed for students in grades 7-12 to compete head to head. Teams are responsible for designing and building more complex robots with advanced programming techniques to compete in an alliance format against other teams.

How to Register

Teams can register for the West Virginia State Championship event starting September 18th at noon EST.

What about the Robot?

Teams construct a robot using a variety of pieces from various manufacturers. Click here for a large but not all-inclusive list of legal and illegal parts.

Qualifiers and Tournaments

West Virginia does not have FTC Qualifiers, instead, FTC teams can go straight to the West Virginia FTC State Championship! The state championship is held on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Fairmont State University. More details about this event will be posted as the season continues.
